Cladding & Fascia's South West Ltd were asked to carry out the Full Replacement of the Rotten Cladding & Fascia's to these 5 Dormers in Trowbridge, Somerset.
Our customer wanted a maintenance Free Solution that would blend in to the country side and match the house as well.
We carried out a full assessment and found the cladding was in very poor condition and water ingress was entering inside the dormers.
A full written quote & Specification was provided and our quote accepted.
As with all of our works, where necessary we erect a full scaffolding system to provide a safe platform to work from, this enables us to carry out a thorough and comprehensive installation ensuring there will be no issues during the works.
Our task was to provide a maintenance free Cladding solution that would be completely weather tight and never need painting, so we recommended the James Hardie Plank Cladding system which is virtually maintenance free and built to last with a 15 year guarantee.
We removed all rotten Cladding from the 5 dormer windows as well as the existing blue membrane which had failed and was allowing water and condensation to enter the property.
We fitted new proctor roof shield breathable membrane to the timber structure which is a high quality breather membrane (Probably the best on the market and then we installed new vertical battens to create an air flow gap and a cavity to form a fully ventilated façade.
We always install genuine James Hardie Aluminium Powder coated corners, window reveal trims and drip head trims which are of a high quality powder coated finish, and we then install the new Black James Hardie Cladding to the dormer windows.
We then replaced all of the Fascias and soffits with Eurocell Full replacement Black uPVC Fascias, Soffits and Barge Boards.
All of our work was then thoroughly cleaned, all waste disposed off and scaffolding removed to provide a lasting maintenance free Replacement Cladding System.
