The Cladding and Fascia Company were tasked with replacing the cladding to this large and difficult to access Loft Conversion in Yeovil, Somerset.
The existing Loft Conversion was cold in the winter and hot in the summer and the walls were becoming damp which is an obvious sign to us that the existing cladding had not been installed properly.
We had a full scaffolding erected to provide safe access to the dormer and we began removing the old wooden cladding, which was just a 12mm thick softwood cladding that had began to fail and rot as well as retain a lot of moisture.
There was also no battens installed so any moisture was becoming trapped against the cladding and the walls so upon removal of the cladding we installed a new breathable membrane and then installed new counter battens to provide airflow to the walls.
We then installed the new Composite cladding in moon dust grey which is a light grey colour with a woodgrain texture, issues with the roof were addressed and then scaffolding was removed completing this installation in just 10 days.
