The Cladding and Fascia Company were tasked with providing a solution to repair the leaking and dangerous cast iron guttering to a grade 1 listed building near Montacute house in Somerset.
The Home Owner had contacted ourselves because the existing cast iron guttering was leaking and required redecorating but not only that it was also coming away from the roof as the fixings had failed and the water was running down the 500 year old solid stone walls causing penetrating damp problems,
We agreed with the local conservation officer that we would sympathetically install new products that would match the existing as near as possible, with a new Acoya timber fascia board painted matt black along with new cast iron guttering and a decorative hopper and a new cast iron down pipe.
The new Cast Iron Guttering is factory finished with a guarantee to the paint coating for a period of 10 years against rust and corrosion, although expensive you can rest assured it is a high quality product.
